Not all accomplishments are things others can see, but every single one is valid and worth celebrating! All of those little accomplishments should light this wonderful glow of pride in ourselves. We are growing in those small moments; we may not see the blooms of the growth but we will.
I started a journey last year quite simply. I downloaded the “Finch” app because my daughter needed a friend and I jumped at the chance to connect with her. So I started using this app. Honestly, I never imagined what would happen next. This connection point has blossomed beyond anything I could have imagined, forging a profound new relationship with myself. What a completely unexpected and surprising victory that I didn’t know I was looking for!
Just the other day I got a milestone in the app. I have officially gone on 450 adventures! I have had 317 self-care days. I have completed 8,105 goals. My longest streak was 291. And I have sent 813 good vibes.
There are so many small victories and goals personal really just to us that deserve to be recognized. In this day and age with so many tools at our disposal it is just a matter of finding one that works for you! Before you roll your eyes, there are free options if you are not financially able and others where you can pay it forward.

Maybe we are someone that just needs to remember we can be our own friend. Or maybe we want to happy dance because we got 3,000 steps today. Maybe you answered the phone and made some phone calls without puking today! Maybe you got out of bed! Maybe you took a shower! Maybe you said, “Nope, not today,” and turned off the news! Victories!
One thing I have discovered first hand on this ridiculous road of self-discovery full of “WTF” moments, laughter, and light bulb moments is that our personal moments really are meaningful. The work that truly defines you isn’t the stuff of headlines; it’s the daily, unseen decisions and small victories that change who you are at your core.
All those small victories we do on our own are powerful. They light this glow within us that spurs us on and ripples outwards whether we can see it or not. Every single one of those actions are valid and worth celebrating. It took so long for us to slip and slide down into our present abyss. We have to build a solid foundation worth standing on and this is just how we do it. Not through empty outward actions but through small victories, happy dances, and a copious amount of belief in ourselves. Let’s be stubborn. We got this.
