Well today, is the day after Thanksgiving. The day where we are supposed to give thanks for the things we are grateful for and share the time with family or loved ones.

But gratitude is not just for thanksgiving.

We can feel grateful on any day. Any day can be the day when we express gratitude for the things in our lives to be grateful for. Any day when we are feeling overwhelmed by life’s circumstances we can mark a day on our calendar to focus on our gratitude. It has the possibility of grounding us in the present and giving us hope for the future.

I am breathing.
I have a supportive partner.
I have wonderful children.
I have a loving family.

I am caught up on laundry.
My vacuum cleaner is not clogged.
I remembered to fill the dishwasher last night.
My family put their laundry away.
I have a job.
I have my health.
I have food in my cupboard.
I have a place to sleep at night.
I found positive sprinkles today.
I found reasons to smile today.
