To the version of me that feels a little tired today.

I want to tell you something: I love you.

I know we don’t say it enough. We usually spend our time talking about what we need to “fix” or where we need to “pivot.” But today, I’m showing you how much I love you through the music I choose to flood our brain with.

I’m choosing these songs because I want to motivate you. I’m choosing these rhythms because I want to inspire you. But mostly, I’m choosing this soundtrack to help me remember you.

This is for you – the one who is dancing while washing the dishes for the third time today. The one who is swaying in the grocery store aisle or humming while folding laundry. I’m choosing this music because you deserve to remember what it feels like to be you – without all the labels. Without being “Mom,” or “Wife,” or “Employee,” or “Blogger.” Just the vibrant, audacious human being who exists beneath the to-do list.

The Radical Act of the One-Person Dance Floor

When I hit play on that “Invincible” track track and we start to move, it’s a love letter in motion. It’s my way of saying:

  • I love you enough to change the energy of this room for you.
  • I love you enough to shut out the noise of the world so I can hear your heart.
  • I love you enough to let you be “messy” and unobserved for three minutes.
  • I love you enough to be comfortable in our skin and dance freely.
  • I love you enough to remind us who we really are.

Every beat is a reminder that we are the architects of our own joy. When I dance with you – even if it’s just in the kitchen while the coffee brews – I am telling my nervous system that we are safe, we are powerful, and we are worth celebrating right now.

Your Friday Challenge: The 3-Minute Love Letter

I want you to pick the one song from your Identity Soundtrack that makes you feel most like you. Lock the door, put on your headphones, or crank the speakers.

For three minutes, don’t worry about the “Wide-Angle Lens” or the “Evidence Journal.” Just move. Let the music be a bridge between who you were and who you are becoming.

I’m dancing right there with you. We’ve come so far, and we are just getting started.
