A great moment of self-discovery is when you have your own personal epiphany (light bulb moment) finding a new tool for your daily life. It is like a big small victory a moment that we can quietly grin to ourselves in pride whispering… see, I can figure something out!

For myself I have figured out that encouraging myself to keep my bedtime is looking forward to freshly washed sheets. Walking out to the library on a blustery cold day is possible with the prospect of a new treasure to bring home. Taking back my day is possible with a funny quote or two. Reminding myself to exercise is easy when I think of the rush of “booya” I get after a workout session. A great mood booster is discovering I did in fact made a new pot of coffee (hug in a mug!) Washing family laundry has the bonus of fresh socks from the dryer! I discovered the best way to start my day off is to have quiet time alone before the whole family wakes up and carve out the time for a yoga session. Hunting for positive sprinkles encourages me to stay in the present escaping anxiety rabbit holes. Looking forward to a favourite movie on the weekend can be the light at the end of the tunnel to get through the week!
