Happy Sunday! How are those “glimmers” coming along?
After a weekend of hunting for micro-joys, today is all about setting ourselves up for a week of wonder. Usually, a “Sunday Reset” feels like a list of chores – laundry, meal prep, scrubbing the floors. But in our Everyday Magic era, we’re doing things a little differently.
Instead of cleaning for the sake of “done” we are curating for the sake of “calm.”
Whether it’s the corner of your desk or the thoughts swirling in your head, the goal today is the same: clearing out the grey to make room for the glow.
The 15-Minute Magic Refresh:
- Clear the “Visual Noise”: Pick one small area where you spend a lot of time. For me, it’s my basement office/desk. Take five minutes to clear off anything that doesn’t serve your current “Pivot” mindset. Old receipts? Out. Dead pens? Gone.
- Add a “Vibe Anchor”: Now, put one thing back that makes you smile. Maybe it’s a crystal that catches the light, a photo that reminds you of a win, or even just a fresh glass of water in your favourite mug.
- The Sensory Swap: Change one thing about the “feel” of your space. Light a new candle, put a fresh pillow on your chair, or crack a window for two minutes to let that crisp Saskatchewan (or spring) air wake up the room.
The Mind-Space Refresh: Dusting Off the Spirit
If your physical space is the gallery, your mind is the curator. And let’s be honest – sometimes the curator gets a little overwhelmed and starts hoarding “mental clutter” like old worries or “not enough-ness.”
Let’s do a quick refresh for your internal room:
- Evict One “Squatter” Thought: We all have that one repetitive, nagging thought that pays zero rent and brings zero joy (like, “I’m behind on my goals,”) Today, we’re serving an eviction notice. When it pops up, replace it with: “I am exactly where I need to be to see the magic.”
- The Success Reel Playback: Spend two minutes – just two! – scrolling through your mental highlight reel. Remember a time you felt totally “in your element” or made someone laugh until they cried. Visualize it until you actually feel that sparkle in your chest.
- The Spirit High-Five: Remind yourself of one thing you love about your personality. Maybe it’s your resilience, your weird sense of humour, or your ability to find beauty in a blizzard. Own it. That is your “Mental Glimmer.”
The Intention:
You aren’t just “cleaning”; you’re decorating your life with belief. When you wake up tomorrow morning, I want your space and your spirit to say the same thing: “Yes, I belong here.”
Your Sunday Challenge:
Snap a photo of your “refreshed” micro-space and share it! Or just tell me: what’s one item in your home – or one thought in your head – that always feels like “Everyday Magic”?
I’ll see you Monday morning as we dive into our first full week of Living in Colour.
Exuberantly yours,
Fabulously Positive
