If you’ve stepped outside anywhere in Canada this week, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s that chaotic “Weather Loading System” where Mother Nature can’t decide if she’s feeling snowflakes or tulips. One minute you’re rocking sunglasses, the next you’re digging your ice scraper out of the trunk and the snow shovel out of the shed for the “one last time” (for the fifth time.)

But here’s the thing: Our spirits do the exact same thing.

As we move into this “Technicolour” phase of our lives, we often expect the change to be like flipping a light switch. We think we should wake up one morning and suddenly be 100% vibrant, confident, and “fixed.”

But growth is a lot more like a Canadian Spring. It’s a back-and-forth dance. It’s a “Loading” screen where the progress bar occasionally gets stuck at 99%.

The Mental Flutter

Have you felt it this week? That “Mental Flutter” where you’re excited about your audacious pivot one hour, and then totally overwhelmed by the “beige” monotony the next?

That back-and-forth isn’t you losing your momentum. It’s just your system adapting to the new settings. You are literally installing a more vibrant version of yourself, and sometimes the hardware needs a second to catch up!

The “Three-Breath Reset”

When the “flutter” feels like a full-on blizzard of doubt, use this quick reset to ground your gears:

  1. Breath One (The Release): Inhale deep, and as you exhale, imagine you’re breathing out that “grey” pressure to be perfect.
  2. Breath Two (The Notice): Inhale again, and as you hold it for a second, notice one thing in your space that is already “Full Colour.” (Your superpower socks, perhaps?)
  3. Breath Three (The Anchor): Exhale slowly and say to yourself: “I am allowed to be in-between.”

The Goal: Progress, Not Perfection

Stop putting so much pressure on yourself to be “fully grown” by Friday. Growth isn’t a destination; it’s the transition. You’re allowed to have a “snowy” day even when you’re aiming for summer.

Be gentle with your “loading” process today. The colours are coming – even if they’re currently buffering.

Tell me below (Or on Threads): How is your “weather” today? Are you feeling the sunshine, or are you in a bit of a “loading” frost? Let’s support each other in the in-between!

Exuberantly, Yours!
Fabulously Positive
